Tattoo Contest Rules and Participation Terms

We are pleased to inform you about the details and rules for the tattoo contest that will be held during the convention. Below, you will find all the necessary information to participate:

REGISTRATION

Where: Information Booth
When: Every day of convention, from 4 pm to 5 pm
Important: Registrations won’t be accepted after these hours.

BODY SUIT & Healed Tattoo Category

Registration: only on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Information booth.
Contest: Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm on Main Stage.
Limit: Body Suit three tattoos per participant, and Healed Tattoo only one tattoo per participant.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

All categories are reserved for convention-certified tattoo artists.

GENERAL RULES

In Free Hand category, the process must be documented through video.
In Healed Tattoo category, only one tattoo may be entered.
All tattoos must be done during the convention, except for Body Suit and Healed Tattoo category.
To optimize execution time during the competition, participants may arrive with the stencil already applied to the client’s skin, as well as with the watermarks already done, if they wish. No further progress on the tattoo will be permitted before the official start of the competition.
For Best of Day category, the tattoo must be done that same day.
For Best of Show, large tattoos completed within 2 or 3 days are recommended.
Small tattoos must not exceed 15 cm. If this size exceeds 15 cm, they will be disqualified.
In Color category, at least one color other than black, white, or grey must be included.
In Black & Grey category, only black, sumies, diluted, and selectively applied white pigment works will be accepted, such as highlights and shine. Large areas of white will NOT be permitted.

PRIZES

All categories will have first, second, and third prizes, for both the tattoo artist and their client.

HEALTH REGULATIONS

Two tattoo artists aren’t allowed to work on the same piece in the same booth.
In the case of collaborations, the client must move from one booth to the other.
Please comply with the current health and safety regulations in Barcelona.
