GRAFFITI CONTEST

Any person over 18 years old who has previously passed the selection process may participate in the contest.

Registration

• Prior registration is required to participate in this contest.
• To complete the registration, participants must fill in all the fields in the form and attach the required documentation.
• Registration is free of charge and implies acceptance of these rules.

Event

• 4 participants will be selected per city (Tarragona, Granada and Gijón).
• Each city represents one of the three qualifying events for the final phase, which will take place in Barcelona. The final will include the 3 winners from each qualifying event, plus one additional participant from Barcelona who has previously passed the selection process.
• All participants commit to taking part in the contest once selected.
• If a selected participant is unable to attend, they must notify and justify it to the organization at least 15 days before the event date in their respective city. In that case, the next participant in the ranking will take their place.
• Only officially selected participants may attend the event.

Technical Specifications and Mandatory Requirements

• In the qualifying rounds, the theme of the artwork will be open.
• Works containing homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, racist or any other content that violates human dignity will not be accepted.
• A composition featuring a character + lettering (optional) must be created.
• The surface available to each artist in each venue will be a panel or a white wall measuring 3 meters high by 2 meters wide.
• All artworks must be original and unpublished.
• In all phases, including the final, the organization will provide each participant free of charge with 15 cans from the NBQ H2O range (water-based paint), equal in quantity and color range for all participants. Each participant may add any additional cans they consider necessary, at their own expense, exclusively from the NBQ H2O brand.
• Participating artists may not wear clothing provided by other spray paint brands during the event (t-shirts, overalls, gloves, caps, etc.).
• Protective equipment such as masks, filters, etc. must be provided by the participants themselves if needed.
• Failure to comply with any of these rules will be sufficient grounds for disqualification.

Judges

• For greater transparency and proper operation, there will be 3 votes, each assigned to a jury member, who will assess technique/cleanliness, creativity and composition.
• The jury for both the qualifying rounds and the final will be composed of a tattoo artist, a representative of the NBQ brand and a representative of Baumfest.
• The voting results and prize-giving ceremony will take place in a public event and will be announced on Sunday of the festival weekend at approximately 9:30 PM.

Dates and Schedule

• The event will begin on Friday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on Saturday with the same schedule, and on Sunday until 9:00 PM for the final. The exception is Gijón, where it starts later because it is part of a music festival, and the schedule will be from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Management

• Travel and accommodation for the 3 finalists will be covered by the organization.
• The organization reserves the right to penalize any artist or participant who displays violent behavior or shows disrespect towards the organization or the other contestants.

Image Rights

• All performances may be recorded and/or photographed and may be reproduced and/or displayed by the organization. The organization reserves the right to reproduce them in whole or in part on the official Baumfest and NBQ accounts, with participants granting image rights to the organization for the reproduction of the images obtained during these events.
• Participants waive any copyright over the submitted works, which will become the property of Baumfest and NBQ, and they also assign image rights for the use of the content obtained during these events to Baumfest and NBQ.
• The organization reserves the right to modify or make adjustments and changes to the rules and conditions presented in order to optimize any clauses considered necessary for the proper and fair development of the contest.
• Participation in the 2026 events implies the transfer to Baumfest and NBQ of image rights and rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication and transformation of the submitted works, in accordance with Intellectual Property legislation, through any means and for the maximum duration permitted by such legislation.
• The data and information included in the applications will be processed in accordance with current legislation on the protection and processing of personal data.
• Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
