Three tattoo contests will be held on Friday and Saturday, two of defined categories and the Best Work of the Day, which will be of free theme. On Sunday there will be a contest of defined category, the Best Work of the Day and the Best Work of the Convention (in which only the first classified of the previous categories will participate). If a contestant cannot be present on Sunday for the Best Work of the Convention, a video/photo submitted by the tattooist will be accepted. 

The registration hours for the tattoo contest will be from 18h to 19h the three days. Any tattoo registered outside these hours will not be eligible for the contest.

The jury will be the same during the three days of the event, so the same criteria will be followed for all categories.

There will be a pre-selection for each category, therefore there is no limit to the number of entries.

If there are less than 6 entries in a category, that category will be eliminated and the entries in that category will be included in the entries for the Best Work of the Day.

All contests will have first, second and third prizes (for both the tattooist and the tattooed), with the exception of the “Best Work of the Convention” which will only have a first prize. The tattoo artists awarded with the first prize will be automatically selected to participate in the 26th edition of the International Tattoo Convention of Barcelona “Barcelona Tattoo Expo 2023”.
